I have lived and painted in Colorado over 40 years. Through these many years I have admired the works and techniques of many other artists through Galleries, Art shows and just sharing ideas and being with other artists. This has inspired me through these years.

I began drawing at an early age. I worked with water colors and then with acrylics for some time. Eventually I was encouraged to try working with oils and I loved it immediately. With the ability to move the oils around on a canvas to change an effect or to put down the brush or palette knife and return later and resume is something you can't do with acrylics or watercolor.

More recently, I found my fascination with the power and beauty of color. It has led me into the abstract and expressionistic world of combining color and shapes to create a painting which is pleasing to my eye and, hopefully, to others. I've always felt that you want others to admire what you have created but I do paint to please myself and it is very satisfying when it all comes together on a canvas. I hope that somewhere among the following paintings that you will find some that interest you. Each of us have their own type of creative art that we can appreciate more than others.
